Suffolk Ferrets
is based just 5 miles north of Ipswich in Suffolk. We started
keeping ferrets quite by accident. We were asked if we could look
after two jill ferrets due to their former owner not being able
to care for them due to ill health. We said yes, after all we
keep a cat, hamster, rabbit, 24 pond fish and 15 chickens... how
hard could it be?
So the day came for the delivery, along with the two ferrets came
a hutch, food and all the extras needed to keep a ferret happy.
Our ferret keeping days had begun and the learning curve was a
steep one. The photo right is of the newcomers soon after we had
them, note that we had to construct a makeshift outside run for
them.
Since then we still have Kylie & Suzie plus Zak, Joe &
Delilah, three of the 15 kits that we had after Charles &
Campbell came to stay. Click HERE
for more photos.
Please take some time to browse
our site and feel free to send us any information or photos for
inclusion on the Suffolk Ferrets website.
