Help Wanted

Ferrets to assist in keeping rabbits at bay!

We live in Hemingstone (6 miles north of Ipswich in Suffolk) and have a rabbit problem in our field and woods. What I would love is for someone, with their ferrets, to come and help us keep the rabbit population down. So if anyone is keen to help it would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Chris

Ferrets looking for homes
Hi there,

I am a principle member of the Cambridge Ferret Welfare and Rescue Society. I am however based in Manningtree Essex. I would like to spread the word nearer to home that we have rescue ferrets looking for homes all year round. So if there are people out there who wish to welcome a ferret into their family, please get in contact.

Thank you

Wanted - Friendly Jill for lonely Jill
Can anyone help?

One of my sons beloved ferrets died in the summer and the remaining Jill is very lonely. She has been operated on and is so easy and friendly to look after. I have been trying really hard to find her a friend but with not much luck. I took her to an animal rescue centre to meet a possible ferret but it was not very friendly and attacked her. Has anyone some info or knows of a friendly ferret who needs a good home? Our ferrets are exercised daily and have a hutch and a large run. They are taken to mums farm and allowed a good run around. (we do not hunt with them as the boys are too worried about losing them as they really are much loved pets.) We live in Hadleigh, Suffolk.

Many Thanks
Samantha

Hi,

I wonder if any of yous have Working Ferrets that they use to hunt rabbits. I'm inundated with them and would like to try and reduce the numbers that are here.

I live near Newmarket in Suffolk.

You can contact me on my email address of macmerry01@tiscali.co.uk

Look forward to hearing from someone.

Charlot

Hi,

I wondered if anyone can help me with this one?

I adopted a rescue ferret called Calypso who is just over 5 years old. I am very concerned that he is very skinny unlike my younger rescue ferrets who look nice and healthy. Calypso is very active - runs around the house, and playful and is eating well. Apparently he was fed on Felix cat food and biscuits.

He has a selection of ferret complete foods to snack on and loves Junior Whiskas rabbit & duck as well as minced beef. The vet has said he is ok, is it just that he's getting older that he's not putting any weight on?

I'd appreciate some reassurance.

Thanks,
Barbara

Hi,

I have two gorgeous ferrets Mitzi and Pearl, they are such sweet girls and lots of fun. As I have insurance for my dogs and cat I thought I would insure the girls too for vet bills. Can anyone tell me where I would be able to find such a policy at reasonable cost. There must be a company some where that insures more than cats and dogs. By the way I am a Suffolk girl living up North. I my ferrets and I want to make sure they are covered.

Hi,

I am looking for someone who could catch/kill our wild rabbits. I’d guess we have 30/40 living in our woods and they ruin my lawn.

We live in Bury St Edmunds.
